The Steering Committee developed the Self-Study Design
September 22, 2010
Dr. Mary Petrisko, University of Pittsburgh’s MSCHE liaison, visited the University to receive the Self-Study Design. During her visit, Dr. Petrisko met with the Chancellor, the Provost, representatives from the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and students, as well as the Steering Committee.
Fall 2010 - Spring 2011
Working Groups met and gathered data to answer Research Questions posed in the Self-Study Design
Spring 2011
MSCHE selected Evaluation Team Chair, Dr. John Sexton, NYU President.
Dr. Sexton and the University selected dates for the Team Chair’s preliminary visit (October 30, 31 and November 1, 2011) and for the Team Visit (April 11 to 14, 2012.)
Summer 2011
Working Groups submitted reports to Steering Committee
MSCHE selected evaluation team members.
Fall 2011
Steering Committee received draft text from Working Groups and developed a Self-Study draft.
The University submitted Self-Study and Document Roadmap drafts to MSCHE Evaluation Team Chair prior to Chair and generalist reviewers visit.
October 30 to November 1, 2011
Visit by the Team Chair Dr. John Sexton, and generalist reviewers Dr. Brian Byrne and Dr. Charles Caramello.
November 8, 2011
Final version of Document Roadmap submitted to MSCHE.
November 2011 - January 2012
The University community reviewed the Self-Study draft and sent feedback to the Steering Community
February 2012
The Board of Trustees Academic Affairs Committee reviewed the Self-Study.
The Steering Committee finalized the Self-Study.
March 1, 2012
Final version of the Self-Study and supporting documentation submitted to MSCHE.

MSCHE Committee on Evaluation Reports met; MSCHE Commission action reaffirmed accreditation of the University of Pittsburgh and commended the quality of the self-study process.
